Twenty-Five years ago THE SANDMAN entered our dreams. On October 30, 2013, Neil Gaiman returns to the iconic comic book series that launched his career with THE SANDMAN: OVERTURE #1. It’s a big milestone – a quarter century - and to commemorate the occasion we’re bringing you ‘25 Days of Sandman.’

The New York Times best-selling author Neil Gaiman's transcendent series is often hailed as the definitive Vertigo title and one of the finest achievements in graphic storytelling. Gaiman created an unforgettable tale of the forces that exist beyond life and death by weaving ancient mythology, folklore and fairy tales with his own distinct narrative vision.

This is the story Gaiman has been wanting to tell since the very beginning. He’s joined by artistic luminary JH Williams III (BATWOMAN, PROMETHEA), whose lush, widescreen images provide an epic scope to Morpheus’ origin story.

With few series able to attain the level of craftsmanship and wonder displayed in every issue, THE SANDMAN is surely something special. Even beyond the realm of comic books, Neil Gaiman’s World Fantasy Award-winning opus of self-discovery and otherworldly splendor is viewed as a triumph in contemporary fiction that belongs amongst such classics as The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia.

Please join us as we celebrate the legacy of this historic series all month. Mark your calendars and set an alert to check in every day, as we will be posting twenty-five special features counting down to the highly anticipated release of the first issue!

But don’t worry if you haven’t read the entire series. There will be fun facts, unique looks back from artists who worked on the original series, and a chance to win books while serving as a primer to get you set for Neil Gaiman’s return to THE SANDMAN!
