The Roundup: Nightwing Nightmare

The Roundup: Nightwing Nightmare

By Tim Beedle Tuesday, March 4th, 2014

With a title like Forever Evil, you know you’re in for some devastating, far reaching results. But for Batman, it seems like those results may hit painfully close to home. From the very first issue, things haven’t looked good for Nightwing. The one hero to be held captive by the Crime Syndicate, the series began with his identity being revealed to the world, and since then Dick Grayson has remained under lock and key. But eventually, you knew the series would return to his story, and with this week’s issue #6, it has.

If you’re a Nightwing fan (and we know there are many of you out there), this issue is a can’t-miss. However, Dick’s fate is only one of the many secrets of this series to be revealed in this issue. And if you want hard-hitting super hero action, well, you definitely won’t be disappointed.

Also in stores this week is the finale to John Layman’s Detective Comics swan song, “Gothtopia.” We know that the happy illusion inflicted on the residents of Gotham has been engineered by the Scarecrow, but how will Batman stop him? Especially since the not-so-good Doctor Crane has “enlisted” some of the Dark Knight’s closest allies to stop him.

All this, plus brand new issues of Green Lantern, Earth 2, Swamp Thing, Trillium, Fairest, Forever Evil: Arkham War and a double dose of Greg Pak with Action Comics and the Batman/Superman Annual.
