We’d never want to discourage people from visiting any of our fair cities, but if you were planning on paying a visit to Gotham this week, you may want to think about rescheduling. After all, the Joker’s been running rampant across town for the past few months in “Death of the Family,” and this week the Penguin gets involved in DETECTIVE COMICS #16.
In December, moviegoers across the planet were introduced to legendary filmmaker Quentin Tarantino’s latest offering: DJANGO UNCHAINED. And also making its debut last month, the first issue of Vertigo Comics’ 6-part miniseries adaptation of Tarantino’s full screenplay hit shelves.
It’s hard to believe, but it’s 2013. While we’re look forward to the exciting year ahead, let’s take a quick glance backwards at 2012 and the numerous “Best Of” lists DC Comics, Vertigo, and DC Collectibles appeared on.

Shelly Bond has been promoted to Executive Editor of the Vertigo imprint for DC Entertainment. Joining Bond in her new leadership role are Will Dennis, who has been promoted to Group Editor, Vertigo and Mark Doyle who has been promoted to Editor, Vertigo.
2012 was a great year for DC and our fans. Whether it was in the pages of our comics, on the big or small screen or on the floor of our booth at Comic-Con, 2012 was a year of unforgettable moments. Some were thrilling, some were funny and others left us absolutely breathless. In a year full of moments that won’t be forgotten, these are some of the best.
