SANDMAN MIDNIGHT THEATRE – The hard-to-find crossover featuring Wesley Dodds, the Golden Age Sandman, written by Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner, and with art by Teddy Kristiansen.
Enjoy the world and stories of Neil Gaiman’s SANDMAN, drawn and painted by some the most talented and popular artists working today in THE ABSOLUTE SANDMAN BOOK 5 (512 pg, color, $99.99 US).
The powerful and emotional story WE3 by the ALL-STAR SUPERMAN team Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely will be available for the first time in hardcover. And as if that isn’t enough, this amazing Deluxe Edition will contain 10, yes, count ‘em on both hands, 10 new pages of story by Morrison and Quitely.
Seven, they say, is a magic number. And this morning, we can't disagree.
Because DC and Vertigo have put on an impressive showing, combining to win seven, yes seven of IGN's thirteen awards for the Best of 2010.
Here's the rundown...
Best New Series: Vertigo's AMERICAN VAMPIRE
Best Art Team: Gabriel Bá, Fábio Moon & Dave Stewart (DAYTRIPPER)
Best Series Revamp: ACTION COMICS
Best Moment of the Year: BATMAN & ROBIN 13
Best Story Arc: "Batman and Robin Must Die" from BATMAN AND ROBIN
Here's IGN on Grant's many accomplishments in 2010:
"The writer wrapped up his run on Batman and Robin in grand fashion. He brought Bruce Wayne back to the present where he belongs. He celebrated the legacy of Batman as a whole in Batman #700. And luckily, Morrison did find time to weave his own original stories with Joe the Barbarian. Any of these projects numbered among the most unique and memorable of the year. Taken together, it's clear Morrison is still at the top of his game."
Congratulations to everyone on IGN's list.

We’re so excited for everyone to read JEFF LEMIRE'S first ongoing series SWEET TOOTH (on sale this Wednesday).
And we’re not alone:
"Writer & artist Jeff Lemire has created the new 'must read' book with SWEET TOOTH. It's a fairy tale turned on its ear-or antlers-that takes you on the road trip through an America slightly more fantastical and just as frightening as ours." —GEOFF JOHNS (Blackest Night)
“I would crawl over broken glass to read this.” —JASON AARON (Scalped)
“Lemire's next great work is a shockingly original cocktail of the surreal. A candy-colored nightmare of family, violence and the end of the world.” —MATT KINDT (Super Spy)
"Sweet Tooth is a dark, moving, and intriguing story, and Jeff Lemire's gentle writing and raw, expressive art work perfectly together." —FRANK QUITELY (Batman & Robin)
"A remarkably strange story, drawn in an appropriately expressionistic style. I need to know what's going to happen to Gus!" —PETER BAGGE (Everybody is Stupid Except for Me)

A cross between Bambi and Cormac McCarthy’s The Road, it’s a post-apocalyptic journey full of quiet intimate moments, powerful emotion and an edge that is unlike anything you’ve ever read by Lemire.
Today's WALL STREET JOURNAL Weekend Journal Section features JEFF LEMIRE and SWEET TOOTH. Read the story and preview here.
