Just announced at SDCC: THE UNWRITTEN .5 issues!

Created by Mike Carey and Peter Gross, THE UNWRITTEN has been called “a roller-coaster ride through a library, weaving famous authors and characters into a tale of mystery that is, at once, oddly familiar yet highly original,” by USA TODAY. Some of the most talked about issues have been the fabulous one-offs—from the Willowbank Tales of Mr. Bun to the Pick-A-Story origin of Lizzie Hexam. In the vein of those amazing issues, Vertigo will publish a series of 5 interconnected issues that will enhance the reading experience of the ongoing series.

What a beautiful place to have a convention

This is my fourth year at the San Diego Comic Con—my second with DC COMICS—and every year I feel it gets bigger and better. There’s excitement in the air—free swag to be had, announcements galore, amazing artists and writers to meet, the occasional celebrity sighting and, of course, the fans . . . and the costumes. If you’re here, stop by the DC COMICS booth . . . and don’t forget to say ‘hi.’ And keep coming back to Graphic Content for info and updates throughout the week, and yes, for the first time we’ll be posting over the weekend as well!

What does SDCC mean to you?

Here’s what a few Vertigo editor’s have to say: Shelly Bond: San Diego = must ... have ... oxygen Will Dennis: TWO WORDS: TRENCH WARFARE. Pornsak Pichetshote: Spring break! (Some peace in the office...) Angela Rufino: The serenity in the offices increases as the noise level dips to a dull throb with everyone on the other side of the country. Joan Hilty: Day 1: I can CRAWL faster than this pedicab. Day 4: .... Mark Doyle: Holding down the fort.
