Vertigo Book Club: Finally Getting to Fables

When I started here at DC (back in 2012, for anyone keeping score), we had just relaunched the Vertigo website and were building out a section for FABLES. The series was still ongoing at that time and had become one of Vertigo’s flagship books. Only SANDMAN had as much name recognition and only HELLBLAZER had more longevity. As the content editor for Vertigo, I was responsible for creating material for this new section of the site.

The problem was, I’d never read it.

FABLES RETURNS TO VERTIGO WITH EVERAFTER: FROM THE PAGES OF FABLES

Beginning this September, a new chapter of the Fables legacy will begin with EVERAFTER: FROM THE PAGES OF FABLES. A new monthly Vertigo comic book —from the creative team behind the acclaimed digital-first series FABLES: THE WOLF AMONG US, writers Matthew Sturges and Dave Justus, with artwork by Travis Moore and covers by Tula Lotay — EVERAFTER takes place after Bill Willingham and Mark Buckingham’s beloved Eisner Award-winning series.

However, some resonated more than others. Some really stood out.
