TIME MAGAZINE has posted 200, count ‘em, 200 nominees for their list of the Top 100 Most Influential People of 2010. Included on that list? DC Entertainment President Diane Nelson and Neil Gaiman, author of the Hugo Award nominated WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE CAPED CRUSADER? and, of course, SANDMAN.

C’mon, DC Nation. Let’s get out the vote!
I thought it would be fun to get to know some of the editorial group behind your favorite comics and graphic novels a bit better, so I started asking questions.
First up, Mark Doyle.
PM: What was the first Vertigo book you read?
MD: Sandman. I blame that book for my current occupation.
Most of you reading this blog on a regular basis would likely agree that the re-coloring initially done for ABSOLUTE SANDMAN was:
b) So beautiful it’s hard to put it into words.
c) “Lavish.” (As described by the DENVER POST, PATRIOT NEWS and LIBRARY JOURNAL)
d) Or, in the words of the NEW YORK TIMES BOOK REVIEW, “Beautiful… lavish.”
For all you fans of DEATH and, of course, Neil Gaiman, THE ABSOLUTE edition will be published this October! It looks amazing and includes anything and everything DEATH, including an Introduction by Amanda Palmer, solo artist of Dresden Dolls fame, and a Gallery of DEATH which includes numerous artist renditions of the delightfully goth fan-favorite among other extras. Catch a glimpse of the gallery here:
