It’s the final day of New York Comic-Con, but if you thought we’re packing it in early, think again! Today, the “Usual Gang of Idiots” from MAD Magazine take the stage with their infamous “Mad About MAD” panel. Expect plenty of hijinks and hilarity, and maybe a song or two. Also, don’t miss the “DC Comics – All Access” panel featuring Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti, Heath Corson, Brenden Fletcher, Babs Tarr, Annie Wu and more. Oh, and you don’t want to the show to end before you’ve had a chance to grab one of our exclusive NYCC variant covers.

There’s no other word to describe Saturday at NYCC other than MASSIVE! The DC Entertainment booth is packed with enthusiastic fans taking photos with our green screen, checking out the amazing Batman v Superman costumes and props on display and examining the newest products from DC Collectibles. Plus, we have two unbelievable panels on tap including “Heroes to the Core” with John Romita, Jr., Jimmy Palmiotti, Amanda Conner, David Walker and more, and “Batman: The Bat Universe” featuring Scott Snyder, Greg Capullo, James Tynion IV, Tom King, Tim Seeley, Amy Chu and Peter J. Tomasi.
For a guy who keeps plenty busy at night, Batman sure has a busy day ahead here at the Javits Center. It all starts with the once-in-a-lifetime “The Dark Knight 30th Anniversary” panel, which celebrates Frank Miller’s iconic, influential DARK KNIGHT RETURNS along with its two sequels. After that, current Bat-scribe Scott Snyder gets a special NYCC spotlight panel. Then this evening, attendees will get their first look at the next Batman animated movie, Batman: Bad Blood, with a can’t-miss panel featuring the voice of Batman, Jason O’Mara.
New York Comic-Con has begun and the atmosphere is electric. (Or maybe that’s just the free WiFi provided by LexCorp.) Fans are flocking to the DC Entertainment booth to get a glimpse at the three amazing Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice costumes that are on display, and to get their comics signed and their sketchbooks sketched by some of their favorite DC and Vertigo writers and artists. And speaking of Vertigo, their panel is tonight. Wonder what might be revealed there…
It may be the last day of New York Comic-Con, but if you thought we were about to slow down, think again. After all, today’s our DC Digital panel, where we’ll be looking at what’s new in the world of digital first comics, as well as Warner Bros. Television's sure-to-be-epic Gotham panel. By the way, you know you can demo Infinite Crisis and the upcoming LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham in our booth, right? Sounds like the perfect way to end the show!
Saturdays at New York Comic-Con are always huge, and today is no exception. Batman fans are in for a once-in-a-lifetime treat as DC hosts a special Batman 75th Anniversary panel featuring Scott Snyder, Greg Capullo, Jim Lee, Geoff Johns, Neal Adams and Kevin Conroy. That’s followed later in the day by a can’t-miss Women of DC Entertainment panel featuring a lineup that’s nothing short of a dream team of talented female writers and artists.
It’s a big day in the Big Apple, as New York Comic-Con kicks off its first full day. If you’re attending, you’ll want to get there early and be sure to check out some of today’s amazing panels, like Batman: Gotham Rising, Green Lantern: Godhead Begins! and tonight’s Vertigo: Defy Conventions. You never know what might happen at a Vertigo panel, and this one promises to be one for the books.
