Preview Monday: BATMAN ETERNAL #42 and FABLES #148

By Clark Bull Monday, January 19th, 2015

Welcome back for another installment of Preview Monday! This week, we’re giving you exclusive first looks at BATMAN ETERNAL #42 and FABLES #148.

First, in BATMAN ETERNAL #42, Stephanie Brown finally confronts her mother! Why were Stephanie’s mother and father trying so hard to kill her? Can Stephanie trust her mother now? And we’ve all been waiting for Bluebird to gear up and show us what she’s made of – and here it is, though this story may not have a happy ending! Check it out in BATMAN ETERNAL #42, written by Kyle Higgins and illustrated by Jed Dougherty, Goran Sudzuka & Roger Robinson, when it hits shelves this Wednesday.

Then, in FABLES #148, at long last Rose Red learns the truth about her mother, her sister and herself. This is why they’re so magical. This is why all of that wild magic is affecting their lives now. And this is why one will ultimately have to kill the other. Apparently that’s what siblings in this family do. Plus: Terry Moore illustrates the backup feature, “The Last Story of Beauty and the Beast.” Look for it on Wednesday when FABLES #148, written by Bill Willingham and illustrated by Mark Buckingham, Steve Leialoha & Andrew Pepoy, hits the spinner rack.
